Novares is looking for its Manufacturing department his/her future 2nd Shift Technician - Machine Setter (M-F 3p-11p) (M/F), located in GRAND RAPIDS GR-PL.

Job Overview
Work schedule: 2nd Shift
Job location: Onsite – Grand Rapids, MI
Role: The Technical Machine setter is responsible for installing, setting up and maintaining molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient, safe and high quality production of plastic automotive parts. This role requires strong technical knowledge of molding equipment, tooling and processing parameters as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues and support continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tooling for quick changeovers while complying with standards
- Ensure precise production changeover while minimizing the changeover time
- Support startup with limited rejections and scrap, perform and approve startup checks, check the good working order of the machine, tooling and other required devices.
- Monitor production conditions and make adjustments in the event of malfunctions
- Provide technical expertise, analyze and diagnose processes, troubleshoot issues, propose and implement adequate corrective actions
- Analyze breakdowns and design and implement improvements to prevent future failures
- Participate in testing and initiating the production of plastic automotive components
- Provide technical training and support to operators and team leaders.

Qualifications and Skills
- Education: HS Diploma, formal training in injection molding processes preferred
- Experience: Experience with setup and changeover of injection molding machines. Attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment are essential.
- Technical Skills: Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of mold components and the ability to read setup sheets or technical instructions.
