Manufacturing Maintenance Technician – Automation

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician with strong automation experience to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, automated systems, and facility machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. You will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and automation teams to minimize downtime and support process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and automation equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic system issues.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated control systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
- Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and automation integration projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical support and training to operators and junior technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering on root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, robotics, and PLC troubleshooting/programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Proficiency with mechanical systems (motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and schematic drawings.
- Experience with CMMS systems a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or on-call rotations.
