Maintenance Technician

Main Missions

• Prepare and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Order spare parts.
• Check that machines operate correctly during production and carry out maintenance as required.
• Keep an electronic record of maintenance performed on production means to ensure traceability of maintenance operations.
• Perform on-site maintenance to prevent accidents and to ensure that operators are aware of the importance of complying with safety procedures.
• Make the necessary decisions to optimize maintenance to prevent the recurrence of failures, in line with initial data fixed by his/her manager.
• Organize the storage of maintenance equipment.
• Clean and maintain his/her maintenance room and equipment. 
• Organize monitoring of the process and monitor the process parameters.
• Monitor production conditions and make simple corrections in the event of malfunctions.
• Check the conformity of cycle times in relation to reference times.
• Assist with progress initiatives in the cell and help to improve equipment and workshop processes.
• Update documents or computer databases associated with his/her job.
• Analyze small failures.
• Propose and implement adequate solutions.
• Ensure the supply of spare parts.

Abilities

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Trade School Degree or five years or more proven experience desired.

Licenses/Certifications: Forklift Certified, Injection Molding Trade School Certificate

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Must have a good working knowledge of industrial technology
• Thorough understanding of company product, trade terminology, maintenance and repair operations, manufacturing processes, and machine/equipment operation
• Ability to diagnose problems for true root cause and implement effective countermeasure
• Must be able to read, write & speak English
• Basic computer skills
