Technician Machine Setter

Main Missions

Setup, change, run and evaluate molded parts for production as setup by the schedule, including trouble shooting processes in production.

Essential job functions

1. Perform production mold startups.

2. Troubleshoot molding processes in support of production

3. Maintain molding processes for efficiency, scrap and cycle time

4. Setup production lines including auxiliary equipment when necessary (pickers & robots)

5. Discard scrap in designated containers.

6. Conduct 1st Piece Inspection on Process Startups ensuring Visual Acceptance Standard is at press.

7. Complete all required paperwork and forward to the designated location.

8. Able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and inspection plans.

9. Identify & communicate maintenance needs with appropriate personnel (molds & equip.)

10. Perform Class C Technician job duties and responsibilities as needed.

11. Work with Process Technician/Process Engineer to further enhance processing capabilities.
