Production Manufacturing Engineering Senior Manager CDD

Finality

Ensure the integration of new products/processes within its BU and optimize existing processes, while respecting the quality, safety, environment and standards in force within the Group.

Main Missions

1 - Ensure production optimization on serial products within the Business Unit
- Lead the monitoring of the use of assets of capacity and validates CAPEX needs by challenging reuse opportunities
within its BU
- Manage and coordinate plant development and investment plans
- Validate the specifications of the specific means of equipment and tools necessary for these processes in compliance
with the rules of Safety Quality and Environmental Protection
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with line and standard guidelines in terms of lay-out and flow
- Drive the convergence of plants
- Validate and coordinate the series life changes with the Manufacturing Engineering managers and the business
manager director of his BU
- Coordinate with Corporate Manufacturing teams the implementation of 5S, SMED, TPM, etc.
- Validate the annual capital budgets of the plants related to his/her activity

2 - Monitor continuous performance improvement
- Be the relay between the Central teams and the plants to ensure the proper consideration and application of the new
standards, guidelines or best practices (Manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, expertise)
- Provide technological intelligence on the business and continuously seek technical improvements on processes and
machines
- Drive performance within his/her BU by benchmarking plants
- Ensure the implementation and monitoring of actions to improve production means, productivity and organization
- Propose transversal improvement actions in collaboration with the BU's operations manager
- Ensure the transversalization of all process and production improvement actions initiated by the sites following
customer complaints or technical developments
- Create, lead continuous improvement and innovation groups
- Actively contribute to the BU's productivity plan

3 - Provide technical support to plants
- Assist in the resolution of complex technical problems or facilitate and coordinate their resolution
- Ensure compliance with standards and updates
- Ensure timely and comprehensive information to all relevant staff
- Ensure the application and evolution of internal and external procedures
- Train and train Manufacturing Engineering managers to business line changes (Lean approach, Injection business, etc.)
- Continuously lead his/her network of BU Manufacturing Engineering managers and coordinate their missions
- Communicate with counterparts in other BUs as well as with corporate manufacturing teams

4 – Drive teams within his/her perimeter
- Based on the objectives of his/her activity, establish the action plans and coordinate the tasks of the Manufacturing
Engineering managers in a consistent manner
- Provide the necessary resources to achieve his/her objectives
- Monitor the performance indicators of his/her activity, implements corrective actions if necessary, and communicates
them to his/her teams
- Jointly conduct annual appraisal interviews with Plant Managers and set objectives for Manufacturing Engineering
Managers
- Develop the skills of the employees of his/her activity and propose the individual and/or collective training actions
necessary to maintain the performance of activities
- Actively participate in the recruitment of Manufactring Engineering and MEL managers
- Advise employees on their evolutions in agreement and promote internal mobility
- Proposes salary increase, in agreement with the plant manager as part of the group's salary policy
- Ensure that function definitions are updated according to the group process
- Report to the BU Manufacturing Engineering Director

Purpose

Abilities

Technician or engineer with a strong experience (10/15 years) in automotive industries (methods, production, assembly area) 

Comfortable in solving problem methods, continuous improvement  and finance reporting.

You have already managed a technicians/engineers team.

French & English mandatory.
