Costing Manager

Ensure that the offers (RFQ or Request for Quotations) comply with Group regulations, that the hypotheses retained by the Business Units /Skill Centres are realistic
(site rates, dedicated resources, etc.) / sufficient for a validation of the offers.

Deploy the processes / procedures, reconciling them with existing products / productions when feasible

Main Missions

1 - Use of management tools for the RFQ and Development phase
- Use of tools for generating quotes, in line with the RFQ methodology adopted
- Guarantee the harmonisation of practices in the Group, and ensure they are in line with the other information systems.
- Maintain existing parameters in the Mécadevis/Mécabox & Mécaprojet IT tool
- Regularly conduct the necessary meetings and audits.
- Contribute to the development of complex real cases, in order to respond to internal and external changes, and adapt our IT solutions.
- Participate in the validation of cost calculation methods

2 - Validation of costings
- Coordinate all the required tasks to respond to new costings:
- Organise meetings to manage: kick-off, BOM, Process, Mecadevis, dashboard, etc.
- If necessary, attend creativity meetings, cost optimisation meetings, technical optimisation meetings, and performance meetings
- Define and distribute the current costing plan in line with the technical teams
- Challenge costing hypotheses in relation to existing projects / products
- Check that the cost is in line with the plants and support functions, in order to ensure that the proposal is both optimum and realistic.
- Ensure that the costing hypotheses comply with Group regulations
- Organise validation meetings for costings
- Share hypotheses and update the proposal, according to the comments or objectives defined by Management
- Check the coherence between the tender submissions and our internal proposal.
- Upon assignment, co-lead the launch meeting with the project manager
- Manage the Quote Leaders located in the technical centres

3 - Improve costings
- Help to monitor pre-projects, to identify potential problems in offers requiring correction
- Be proactive in proposing convergence or improvement plans for productivity/products/processes, to improve margins taken by offers
