Purpose 

 

As an electronical design leader, you will be responsible for the coordination, translation, development of our OEM customer requirements of the future automotive systems, in cooperation with our innovation teams. 

You will manage technical relations with customers and identifies customer needs and supervises the resulting co-innovation projects.  

You will support RFQ team for innovation project to build offer and technical presentation.  

You will build specification and follow project development with our suppliers – Hardware / software.  

 

Responsibilities 

 

Customer relation: 

 

  • Manage and performs technical customer lobbying activities to capture innovation requirements 

  • Establish the system specifications with customers: understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements for the functional disciplines 

  • Acts as the technical interface with the customer up to the customer's decision and explains the technical solutions (pre-project) 

  • Draws up and presents the technical proposal to the customer (pre-project) 

  • Supervises co-innovation projects with customers in accordance with the defined resources, budgets and deadlines. 

 

Design: 

  • Performs an initial technical analysis of customers' new requirements and define the specification 

  • Track the work packages for ME, HW, SW, Test 

  • Lead the Impact Analysis of customer change requests  

  • Review the design documents of the subcomponents 

  • Coordinate the detailed planning of the Research and Development 

  • Coordinate projects between OEM, Tier1, and Sub-contractors 

  • Supporting the specification and verification of Testcases for system testing 

  • Specification and execution of unit, module, and integration testing 

  • Reviewing and improving validation and verification test plans 

 

Process improvement 

 

  • Support of the continuous improvement process (CIP) in terms of development methodology (ASPICE), project management, utilised tools and technologies, training, etc. 

 

General duties 

  • Lead and moderate cross functional technical workshops including requirements reviews 

  • Support quote teams by analyzing the customer specifications and documenting the quote assumptions in a quick and efficient way 

  • Willing to travel to the customers 

  • Following: rules related to workplace health and safety, ESD guidelines, protection of company property 

  • To work in collaboration with other teams as necessary.   

External relationships:

Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field 

  • 5 years of experience in automotive embedded development mandatory (HW or System)  

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English 

  • Project Management in innovation and / or Team management (transversal)
