Role Summary
The 3rd Shift Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient preparation, loading, receiving, handling, and storage of materials and finished goods. This position ensures all activities are completed according to company standards and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities

1. Shipment Preparation & Loading
- Prepare outgoing shipments and adjust for any potential risks or changes.
- Print and verify delivery notes, ensuring accuracy with prepared goods.
- Print required Galia labels.
- Load trucks according to the loading plan and verify package quality and conformity.
- Identify and resolve common issues related to shipping and loading.
2. Receiving & Documentation
- Accurately record the receipt of incoming materials in the system.
- Inspect incoming goods for correct quantities and quality.
- Report any discrepancies or non-conforming materials.
- Store materials in designated inventory locations.
- Forward delivery documents to the Logistics Department.
3. Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns immediately.
- Comply with all safety practices related to material flow and handling procedures.
4. Continuous Improvement & Team Support
- Communicate key information during shift handoff.
- Assist team members and adapt to varying operational needs.
- Participate in training for new team members and help develop successors.
- Suggest process improvements within the logistics and warehouse environment.
- Attend meetings or improvement sessions as required.
5. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock levels within designated storage zones.
- Identify and correct storage errors such as improper stacking or mixed part numbers.
- Conduct and support cycle counts and full inventories.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
- Confirm proper storage conditions and organization.
6. Internal Material Handling
- Supply production lines with required materials based on instructions.
- Remove completed products or scrap from production areas as directed.
7. Finished Goods Handling
- Accurately record finished goods into storage systems.
- Store completed products in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications and Abilities
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
- Ability to monitor the quality of materials and packaging.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures within a warehouse setting.
