Maintenance Technician 1st and 2nd Shift

Job Purpose

Maintain equipment to reduce failure occurrences. Repair equipment in a safe and effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Complete daily PM's per the PM Report, Keep past to PM’s to zero
  2. Perform all repairs on all equipment as needed
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot all equipment.  Provide data for correct repair parts, fill out part request install parts when they arrive, inform production when complete
  4. Complete and turn in documentation daily on w/o’s and daily sheet for proper documentation; communicate with off-going / on-coming technicians
  5. Monitor water system, including water levels, temperature, fans, pumps decks, chemical balance, and salt levels.
  6. Assist and train or mentor other mechanics as needed.
  7. Provide continual improvements suggestions and cost savings ideas
  8. Investigate all leaks or spills and correct as needed
  9. Follow Corporate and Departmental Environmental Quality and Safety Programs, including: the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear plugs, safety glasses, badges, steel toe shoes as applicable per the company handbook.
  10. Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Trade School Degree of five years or more proven experience desired.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Forklift Certified, Injection Molding Trade School Certificate

    • Blue Print Reading
    • Ability to lift 80 lbs.
    • Ability to work at height up to 40 ft.

    • Ability to stand on feet for 8, 10 and 12 hours
    • Must be an independent thinker and a problem solver.

Abilities

- Must have a good working knowledge of industrial technology
- Thorough understanding of company product, trade terminology, maintenance and repair operations, manufacturing processes, and machine/equipment operation
- Ability to diagnose problems for true root cause and implement effective countermeasures
